February is Turner Syndrome Awareness month. I first heard of TS through Lori Kolubar's blog hop a couple of years ago. Turner Syndrome causes girls to be born missing their second X chromosome, and only 2% of babies with TS are carried to term, making them true miracles. Turner Syndrome has a host of symptoms including visual-spatial difficulties resulting in learning difficulties. As a teacher with over thirty years of experience, I was shocked to have never heard of TS prior to Lori's hop. It is sad that more research funds and efforts are not dedicated to this cause, but we can spread the word and can make donations to help.
My TS Awareness Card features a (retired) sentiment and frame from Verve and florals from Gran's Garden by PTI.
Each of us is created by a loving God, and these precious miracle girls truly are awesome just the way they are!
Thanks for visiting,
Christine
