Turkey Day for Word Art Wednesday

Lawn Fawn is sponsoring the current Word Art Wednesday Challenge.  Everyone has two weeks to enter in order to have a chance to win the generous prize Lawn Fawn is offering.  I've used the darling Turkey Day set along with Echo Park papers to create my card.  The cute little images are such fun to use because the size allows for lots of layers or for a CAS look that focuses right on the stamps.  The accompanying sentiments always bring a smile.  Wishing you the best as you play along to win some Lawn Fawn products for your projects.

Welcome Baby for Word Art Wednesday

The Welcome Baby stamps and dies by Stamp Simply are a favorite set.  In my work at a pregnancy resource center, I share lots of baby cards using this set.  It includes a onesie die wit the cutest stitched detailing.  For this card, I wanted to use all the little dies meant to adorn the onesie or the bib and decided they might be cute on a wreath.

The wonderful news surrounding the new challenge at Word Art Wednesday is that Stamp Simply is sponsoring and will provide a prize for a randomly selected participant.  Hope you will play along.

Blessings,

Christine

The Name of the Lord is to be Praised

Just love this scripture, and both the content and the portrait arrangement of words inspired a need to feature a rising sun.  The sun die is retired from Verve, and the little bird and leaves are from a sweet set by My Favorite things.

Hope you will stop by Word Art Wednesday to share your creations and to have an opportunity to win a fun prize selection from Unity Stamps.

Blessings,

Christine

Worthy of Double Honor

I am so grateful for my pastor's love and dedication to Jesus and the truth of the Bible.  This scripture is fitting to thank our dear shepherds for their leadership and love.  It's available at Word Art Wednesday as a download to use right away.

Altenew is sponsoring the current challenge, and I've used a beloved Altenew die....the Leaf Frame over a panel tinted with Tim Holtz watercolor pencils.

We'd love to have you join the fun at Word Art Wednesday.

Christine

Time is flying....it's mid-August already and time for a new challenge at Word Art Wednesday.  I hope you will visit the challenge blog for an opportunity to download the scripture, read the devotion, or to share your own art.  We are blessed with an awesome group of sponsors, and there is always a great prize offering.

My bookmark uses this week's scripture, The Basic Bookmark die by Papertrey Ink, and Thank You Florals also by PTI.  I ran the bookmark through the laminator and have found that really makes them durable!

Shining Light for Word Art Wednesday

I love the bright abstract florals in this 12 x12 sheet by Paper Studio.  Cut down, it makes a fun set of card fronts.  The sentiment panel is stenciled with Joyful Flowers from Creative Worship.

God's Comfort for WAW

This is such a precious scripture!  As designed, it makes a lovely full panel.  I framed it with Pink and Main papers and PaperTrey Ink's sweet eyelet die for a clean and simple look.

I hope you will visit Word Art Wednesday and join in on the challenge fun and will also partake of Karen's devotional based on the scrupture.

Psalm 31:24 with Flower Bouquet

It's always a delight to visit Word Art Wednesday.  There's a new challenge every two weeks, a devotion to read, and a wonderful scripture to download for crafting!  Hope you will stop by to view the art that's shared and to play along for a prize from our awesome group of sponsors.

M card features the current word art for Pslm 31:24 and Flower Bouquet Die-Namics by our sponsor My Favorite Things.  This set usually stays on my desk---as opposed to returning to its neatly organized bin---because it's so versatile.

Put on Kindness

This is a great scripture to meditate on at the beginning of each day!  How different things are when we have clothed ourselves  with mercy, kindness, humility, and patience all so graciously provided to us by the reconciliatory work on Jesus and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit!

I wanted my card to have a humble and gentle feeling, so I used the sweet eyelet frame by Papertrey Ink and some softly inked flowers from the bowl of spare parts on my desk.  The little blooms are from Spellbinders and My Favorite Things.

Please join us at Word Art Wednesday for the opportunity to enter a random prize drawing, to download the scripture and to see others' projects.

Blessings,

Christine

Blessed is the Man that Fears the Lord

A couple weeks ago, I was waiting on new plates for my Big Shot and decided to go through my accumulation of scrap paper and cut everything down to 4 x5.25 inches.  Then I organized them in rainbow order.    It made it easy to find a paper that fit the fruitful vine theme of this verse and still kept things looking masculine.

The frame is a Papertrey Ink product and is one of my favorites for trimming down printed Word Art, so I use it a lot.  The accent cluster of leaves is from a Spellbinders set and the papers also came from my freshly organized collection of scraps.

Hope you will join us at Word Art Wednesday this week.

Blessings,

Christine

Stamp Simply sponsors WAW

The Welcome Baby stamps and dies by Stamp Simply are just so sweet. The detailing on the die cuts is just wonderful!  I love using them to create cards for the Pregnancy Resource Center where I volunteer.  As each volunteer celebrates her birthday, I give her two cards she can send to expecting parents, so I didn't add sentiments to these.

Stamp Simply is once again sponsoring at Word Art Wednesday.  Please stop by the blog and share an entry ---or up to five projects---for a chance to earn a prize

Ps 113:9 for Word Art Wednesday

This sweet scripture is definitely a song of praise for those who have waited long for the blessing of holding a baby in their arms.  The beautiful paper is from the Elodie collection by Mintay, and the Flower Bouquet dies are a My Favorite Things collection.  The flowers are lightly inked with Distress Oxides.

Please take time to visit Word Art Wednesday to play along for a prize offered by Avery Elle and to find some inspiration in Karen's devotion and in the art others have chosen to share.

Christine

Happy Birthday with Newton's Nook Floral Fringe

Isn't the color palette for the current Inky Paws Challenge refreshing and lovely!  I chose Floral Fringe and Tombow Watercolor Brush Dual Brush Pens for the focal panel of my card.  The card base was cut by strategically placing the scalloped rectangle from Flags and Frames over the fold of the panel.

Thanks a Bunch

Why an Easter wreath on a thank you card several weeks after Easter?  Well, here's why.  I work with a small non-profit ministry that recently received a donation from a very creative group of young people.  They hosted an Easter Egg Hunt, charging an entry fee for each participant.  The funds were shared with our group.

This is one of the times that it's really fun to use card-making supplies in a different way to create a card perfect for the occasion!

Be Still Lilacs

The Botanicuts Lilac dies bring back sweet spring memories and are a joy to ink and use in craft projects!  This card pairs the lilacs with a favorite scripture from Verve Stamps and is accented by a die from Papertrey Ink.

Best Wishes to the Mr. and Mrs.

The Mandala and Stitched Flowers are favorites from My Favorite Things.  I love the color selections and softened them a bit for this wedding card.  The inside reads:  Best wishes to the Mr. and Mrs.

You're Fintastic

It's fun to play along with a sketch challenge!  I love the creativity that comes from combining supplies and stamps that are on-hand along with an occasion and a sketch.  It makes for more creative cards, I think.  This one features the so-cute Baby Shark die-namics and the coordinating sentiment stamps.

Hinds' Feet on High Places for WAW

This scripture beautifully expresses the way God's presence brings loving security to even the most challenging times.  Karen will have a lovely devotion elaborating on this precious verse, and it is also available for download at Word Art Wednesday.  Please make plans in the next couple of weeks to stop by the WAW Blog for your copy of the word art, an opportunity to share your work, and maybe even to be randomly selected as a prize winner.

Newton's Birthday Balloons

What a happy spring palette that has been provided for crafting inspiration over on the  Inky Paws Challenge blog.  I needed a quick birthday card and the color scheme was just perfect for a cheerful card featuring Newton's Balloons.  I filled the inside with punny feline sentiments from several sets and stamped our kitties' signatures with a cute paw image.

Christine

Ps. 139:5 Memory Dex Card for Word Art Wednesday

Psalm 139:5  speaks to the fact that God protects His children and never leaves us alone.  It will be an encouragement as it takes its place in my scripture  MemoryDex.  The papers are from a My Mind's Eye stack and the floral cluster is from my tray of 'spare card parts'.

You may download a copy of this scripture in its lovely format at Word Art Wednesday.  As always, there is devotion to elaborate on the verse, some art to inspire, and a fun place to enter your own work for an opportunity to win a prize.
