Verve Inspiration: Green---The Smallest Things

I   used three hearts from Verve's Heart Quartet cut blue painter's tape to create a mask before sponging on Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink.  Then I splattered water and white acrylic paint over the green.  A few hearts from Scripture Medley Five were stamped in Cracked Pistachio.  The Hip Hop Bunny was watercolored with Prima Pastel Dreams and Winnie the Pooh's wisdom is also a Verve stamp from the Little Ones collection.

It was lots of fun to experiment with Distress Oxide Ink.  A lesson learned:   The first time around I masked the hearts with hot pink sticky notes, and the pink color bled.  The painters' tape worked really well, though.

Thanks so much for visiting,
Christine

Oh I really love this sentiment Christine! One of my all time favorite! What a great idea doing the masked hearts before sponging with the oxide ink! Beautiful background for the little sweet bunny. How do you like working with oxide inks Christine? I find them so much easier to blend with and less effort getting that flawless blending than the regular distress inks. Have a lovely weekend Christine and may the Lord’s blessings filled your home this Easter Sunday and everyday. Hugs.

Awww . . . very cute! And what a fabulous background! Love the color. Super sweet sentiment, too. (I think I may have it; need to pull it out and use it!) Thanks for playing with The House That Stamps Built.
