Fill My Cup, Lord

This card was inspired by so many sources, making it very easy to create.  The simple palette of gray, yellow and white is from the Color Throw-down, and the layout is provided by the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  And, of course, the theme is from the Coffee Lovers big, crafty party!

It was fun to pair the "dressed up" gray brocade with the whimsical giant polka dots.  Because I never throw away the tiniest scrap, a bitty, bitty square of yellow and gray dotted paper was just right for the little cup.  Crafting during quarantine has definitely led me to count all the blessings in my crafty stash, and I have learned to let God fill my cup rather than the gloom and doom of the local news.

Coffee and Jesus

I love the current Mojo Sketch and decided to use it for my first entry in the Spring and Summer Coffee Lovers Hop. The sentiment pretty much describes how I am making it through the quarantine and online school---a little coffee and lots and lots of Jesus!

Color Inspiration--Happy Birthday

I am spending this quiet Sunday afternoon crafting.  It's fun to play along with some challenges I haven't visited in a while.  Isn't the color choice board from Just Us Girls fabulous?!

This card came together quickly with an Altenew stitched cover plate, and inverted scalloped circle from Lawn Fawn, a scrap of MME paper in pink, orange, and yellow and a few flowers from a set I stamped a while back.  The flowers are Bitty Bouquets from PTI.  Since the flowers and stems stamp separately, I die cut a bunch of them, set up a template in my Misti and stamp away.  Betsey Veldman has a wonderful video here, if you would like to see the technique in action. It has changed how I stamp some images.

Hey there, cutie pie!

I am so grateful to be able to craft!  I really wasn't able to feel creative or to focus on much except the most essential things like learning to teach online as the Covid-19 crisis began.

My family is still making every effort to stay home to prevent the spread of Covid-19.  We continue to shop on line, to pick up our groceries, and to worship via the services our church shares on social media.  I realize that we are so blessed to have the opportunity to do those things.  I am thankful that God is working on my heart about the anxiety of the Covid-19 crisis, and that while the world is not back to normal, I feel more at peace.

I've discovered some new challenges lately and have looked at my stamps, dies, and papers in all new ways.  Just as God has provided or our needs, He's given me plenty to enjoy in my crafting stash, and I am so thankful for those pleasures.

I made this card using a retired stamp and die set from Reverse Confetti and using the middle column of Tuesday Throwdown's tic-tac-toe board:  red, a die, and a button.

Garden Bunch Happy Birthday

We are still making every effort to stay home and help fight the spread of Covid-19.  I am ever so thankful for my crafting stash and have been working with layering stamps.  I love them, but struggle sometimes to get good alignment.  There's plenty of time now to practice and experiment.  This set is called Garden Bunch by Reverse Confetti.  I die cut lots of the flowers from white, created a template for use in my Misti, and stamped a a bunch!  It was a fun way to spend the afternoon, and there are plenty of pretty flowers for future cards.

The elements of the card fit the tic-tac-toe board at Tuesday Throwdown:  blue, die cut, and a bow.

Red, White, and Birthday!

Wednesday is a good day for checking out card challenges.  I absolutely adore the inspiration photo at the Card Concept and also think it's such fun to play with tic-tac-toe challenges.  This birthday card featuring a tag die and roses  from Reverse Confetti is the result. 

For the tic-tac-toe, I chose the diagonal path of a bow, a die, and blue.  I was inspired by the summery, celebratory feel of red, white, and blue for this clean and layered card.
