Mojo Monday: Grace Changes Everything
I was blessed with a generous gift card last week and wasted no time ordering some things that had been on my crafting wish list. Verve's Butterfly Grace and matching dies along with a set of Prima Pastel Dreams Watercolor Confections were used on this card. Eliminating a layer from the sketch let more of the watercolored panel show. The black fishtail banner was to heavy when used horizontally, so I cut it in half and tucked it behind the sentiment, which is my favorite in the whole set.
It's almost tomorrow...hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday!

Mojo Monday: Forever Kind of Love
Happy Memorial Weekend, everyone! It's truly a busy time for me right now, but I decided to make a little time to craft this morning before returning to responsibilities, schedules, and deadlines. This week's Mojo Monday sketch is truly a keeper, and I intended to be truer to the design, but sometimes one choice of color or shape influences another. The gorgeous detailed heart competed with my favorite part of the sketch---the three strips of washi tape--- so I used a solid background image to let the pretty heart shine. The ingredients for this card are: Verve's Love Everlasting set with awesome matching dies, Wedding Bliss papers from Echo Park, and some metallic gold poster board cut with a Little Inker die.

Mojo Monday: Dreams
As a teacher, I have a special affinity for colored chalk, and as crafter, I like to get out my old pan pastel chalks for this technique. The background was created by randomly applying patches of color with the applicator included with the chalks, stamping, and dry embossing. It also looks great with heat embossing. My go-to ink is Memento Tuxedo Black, but it's time for a new pad, so I tried Tuxedo Black in the Memento Luxe version and found that it didn't stamp as evenly as the regular version. The softening effect of the vellum helped to distract from the unevenness. This sheet of vellum happens to have glittery speckles. I also downsized the panels in the sketch to let more of the butterflies show.
The stamps are Verve's Sparkly Dreams with matching dies, and the diagonal piece is from Little Inker Designs.

You Color My World----Thanks Sunny Studio!
I count it a blessing to have won a gift from Sunny Studio in the recent Birthday Blog Hop for Jo's Scrap Shack. My darling new stamps and dies arrived in the mail today, and I just had to do some late night crafting.....hence, the not-so-great photo. My card features the versatile stamp set called Color Me Happy and coordinating die. I also ordered the sun rays die and can't wait to try it out. Thank you so much, Mendi, for helping us celebrate Jo's fifth year of blogging!

Fun Friday Challenge 188: Bugaboo Stamps with a Twist-- Patterned Paper
Happy Friday! It's time for another Fun Friday Challenge at Jo's Scrap Shack where the theme is always Anything Goes. The design team is showcasing images by Bugaboo Stamps.
This week's challenge includes an optional twist. The designers were challenged by Jo to use only patterned papers in our creations. I found the challenge to be lots of fun.
My first card includes digital papers called "For You" from Cinnamon Scraps. The second card features a collection from Tout Aimee. I selected, sized, and printed the papers before choosing Prismacolor pencils to color the cute turtle from Bugaboo.
Hope you will try mixing patterns. It's fun!
