My Grace is Sufficient

Still working with that left-over watercolor panel and the lovely leaves from my Verve stash. In addition to being inspired by the gorgeous autumn weather and all the fun challenges with that theme, I decided to play along with Mod Squad's challenge to let the sentiment say it all.  Hope you can take a minute to read this dear scripture and let its truth bring peace to your heart.

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Christine

Autumn Blessings

I created a piece of fall art for the "coffee corner" in my kitchen using a watercolored panel.  Today, I used the second watercolor panel to create Verve's Autumn Leaves.   The leaves are inlaid in the Large Scallop Stacker panel by PTI.  I decided to use lots of white space to keep the leaves as a focal point.

So thankful for the beautiful fall weather we have been enjoying...even if it's kept me out of the craft room.

Have a blessed autumn week,
Christine

Love you "deerly"

I am squeezing out the last minutes of crafting time from what has been a very busy and fun Fall Break  I wanted to play along with the Mod Squad challenge to use black, cream, and brown while adding a tag.  The geometric background was created with the Neat and Tangled Inlaid Squares die.  The sweet little fawn is from Newton's Deer Friend set and the tag dies are from Reverse Confetti.

Thanks so much for visiting,

SmART

Popping in to share a very personalized card I made to encourage my son as he takes a test to advance in his new career as a chemical engineer.  I cut squares from the faux Periodic Table paper that I found at Tuesday Morning and spelled a couple of words that I think apply to my boy.  The card is clipped to a sackful of Hershey Nuggets.  I wrapped them in coordinating paper and affixed a word to each one ..... conveying the verse that I have whispered to him every time we have parted or he has faced a new change.  It's Joshua 1:9--Be strong and courageous.  Do not be discouraged or afraid, for the Lord your God is with you everywhere you go.  The card includes instructions to arrange the nuggets to express a message of encouragement.  I hope it will bring him a smile a heart full of peace.

Happy Bird Day

So many fun challenges and beautiful stamps....so little time!  I ordered MFT's Playful Peacocks right around the time school started and sat down and watercolored a few right after the set came in the mail.  I love this week's MFT sketch and couldn't resist adding a ready-made peacock as a centerpiece.

Hope you are having a bright and wonderful day!

Birthday Peony

Add caption
I spent part of this beautiful Fall Break Thursday finishing up some Christmas tags that I started back during summer vacation.  It was good to take inventory and to decide on how many more are needed for gift wrapping and to give as gifts themselves.

I love the Mojo Sketch and decided to use my new Reverse Confetti Peony in place of the circles.  I used a doily with a stamped center for the larger circle and a scalloped circle for the sentiment.

Thanks for visiting,
Christine

Pretty Peonies

My son was married in a beautiful ceremony this past weekend which included crisp autumn weather rarely seen in our part of the South.  I am presently on fall break and have been spending time getting things back to their rightful places after having a houseful of wonderful guests.  I timed the purchase of Pretty Peonies from Reverse Confetti for just this time and really enjoyed watercoloring the images with Arteza Real Brush Markers and a water brush.

Looking forward to more crafty time this week.  So glad you stopped by,
Christine

A Little Bit of Coffee and a Whole Lot of Jesus

We are having a houseful of company next weekend, and I am working on the cleaning and decorating countdown.  The cooking countdown starts Wednesday, but I digress.

Anyway, I created a "coffee bar" area near the Verizmo machine and decided  to up-cycle the inexpensive art in this frame.  I started by watercoloring a panel of Canson WC paper with Prima Pastel Dreams and splattering it with a little white acrylic paint.  The super-sweet Coffee and Jesus stamp is from A Jillian Vance Design.  The panel is mounted on a scalloped square and over a sheet of scrapbook paper trimmed down to fit the frame.  It  looks cute next to the tray of coffee pods, syrups, and sweeteners.

Thanks for taking a look,
Christine

Pink Birthday

So much to do....but it's World Cardmaking Day, and there's a Mojo Sketch I haven't used yet.  Those are good enough reasons to  put a card together, right?  I love the floral paper, and it was just wide enough for the rectangles in the sketch. Going from there, I pulled a heart doily and some left-over flowers from my scrap bin and layered them over a strip of glittery paper.

So thankful for a sketch, some scraps, and a few minutes to unwind.  Have a great weekend!
