Birthdays are like Glazed Donuts

I recently received my first order from Technique Junkies courtesy of a generous prize awarded during the Turner Syndrome Blog Hop.  I couldn't resist this cute stamp, knowing the sentiment would be perfect for a particular donut lover's upcoming birthday.  The donuts are "glazed" with Arteza Real Brush markers, and I found a of striped MME paper that worked well as a background.

Rejoice!

I am still crafting with limited access to supplies as we are between painting and new flooring.  Lots of things are stashed away in boxes, but I couldn't resist playing along with the Ink to Paper Challenge using the new stamps I received just last weekend.  I have enough die cuts and images for eight cards, but don't have access to all the bases.  Here are the first four.

Have a joyful weekend,
Christine

Mani Thanks

We finished painting the study, and the new lighter color brightens the room and makes crafting, lesson planning, and paper grading so much easier on the eyes than the previous deep paint color did.  I am still in a temporary arrangement as the flooring is scheduled for Spring Break, so just the bare minimum is out for working and crafting.  I grabbed one paper pad and let the colors and designs make the decisions.  This girly Parisian-themed stack was perfect for a thank you card featuring Honey Bee's Shine On stamps and dies.  A girl can never have too many thank you cards, and I am sure this one will be shared soon.

Thanks for stopping by,
Christine

Mojo Monday: Sending Thoughts and Prayers

My craft room is under construction:  We are repainting in preparation for installing new flooring over Spring Break.  Most of my supplies are squirreled away in nooks and crannies for now, but I pulled out a paper pad, a stamp set, and  few dies to play along with the Mojo sketch.   I needed a "just right" encouragement card for one of my students.  I will slip this in her Valentine bag on the sly to let her know her struggles are noticed and are being remembered in prayer.

"Deer" Hugs

I am working on a few cards for Christina Hor's Cards for Little Hearts Drive.  She's now collecting cards for Heart Month (February), and all the guidelines for making cards to encourage pediatric heart patients can be found here.  Please read them as Christina has really thought through all the details for making cards for children in need of healing.

This card features Deer Friend from Newton's Nook and a sentiment die from Lawn Fawn.  The late night photo has a yellow cast and doesn't show the subtly stenciled hearts that blend in the cloudy sky.

Mojo Monday: Thank You

After filling a day off with lots of errands and chores that are hard to get done in a regular weekend, I remembered that tomorrow is School Board Recognition Night.  Each teacher is to have a card for her class to sign for the board meeting. This week's Mojo Monday sketch came to the rescue.  Navy and white are our school colors, and the card has a nice, clean look.   The papers are actually 12 x 12 scraps from my scrapbooking stash, and the thank you die is a Sizzix product from Hobby Lobby.

Hope you are enjoying your day,
Christine
