Be Bold Blooms

My sweet mom lives near an amazing paper craft store and sent me these wonderful Spellbinders dies.  The set is called Be Bold Blooms, and they are a delight to create with!  I cut each piece three times and was able to make five cards featuring assorted blossoms and sentiments.  I am linking these cards in the SSS Wednesday Challenge....to add a sentiment. These sweet sentiments are from Verve.

May God Bless You

We just finished an incredible week of mission work right at home!  God blessed us with fellowship, safety, and many opportunities to share His love.  May He be praised.

Lots of thank you notes have been written, but this year it is my intention to thank all the participants in writing.  It will take a while, but it is something God placed on my heart.  This card will be the first of many!

Thanks for stopping by,

Christine

Psalm 103:13 for Word Art Wednesday

This scripture is a wonderful expression of God's love for us!

I created my card by printing the scripture from Word Art Wednesday directly on white card stock.  The sky was blended using Distress Oxide inks and a soft brush.  Lesson to learn:  the creamy inks created a bit of smudging around the printed sentiment.  However I have ink-blended over computer-generated images with no problem using dye inks.    The silhouette is from Gina K. Designs (Friendly Silhouettes), and Gina has a wonderful video showing how to use the lovely images over ink-blended backgrounds.

Thanks so much for visiting,

Christine

Hearts and Flowers

Papertrey has a challenge to create a floral card on which one of the layers of the flower/s has been accented with embossing.  I know that the whimsical Thank You Bouquet is sure to stay within arm's reach as it is so fresh and fun!  I stamped the outline of the floral cluster using a pale gray ink and left the outline stamp in the MISTI.  Moving the panel to another corner of the stamping tool, I added the solid layers of the florals and leaves.  Then the image was dusted with a powder tool and moved back into its original corner where the outline stamp was waiting for the next step.  I used a gold glitter EP and placed the bouquet in a sweet bucked from the Vases collection and layered the focal piece over a Skinny Hearts rectangle and a Large Scallop Stacker.
