"Deer" Hugs

I am working on a few cards for Christina Hor's Cards for Little Hearts Drive.  She's now collecting cards for Heart Month (February), and all the guidelines for making cards to encourage pediatric heart patients can be found here.  Please read them as Christina has really thought through all the details for making cards for children in need of healing.

This card features Deer Friend from Newton's Nook and a sentiment die from Lawn Fawn.  The late night photo has a yellow cast and doesn't show the subtly stenciled hearts that blend in the cloudy sky.

Christine

Mojo Monday: Thank You

After filling a day off with lots of errands and chores that are hard to get done in a regular weekend, I remembered that tomorrow is School Board Recognition Night.  Each teacher is to have a card for her class to sign for the board meeting. This week's Mojo Monday sketch came to the rescue.  Navy and white are our school colors, and the card has a nice, clean look.   The papers are actually 12 x 12 scraps from my scrapbooking stash, and the thank you die is a Sizzix product from Hobby Lobby.

Hope you are enjoying your day,
Christine

He will be our Peace

A co-worker asked for prayers today, and I hoped to find time this evening to create a card and to write a little note of encouragement.  It was really helpful to use the Mojo Monday sketch and a recently purchased MME stack.  This paper collection was one I had years ago and used right down to the very last scrap.  It was a delight to find it at Tuesday Morning and to buy it again.  The sketch was perfect for showing off the pretty bird cage element and for adding a sweet scripture from my Verve stash.

Praying that He will be your peace,
Christine

Deepest Sympathy

The background of this card was created with a wood-mounted background stamp featuring a delicate script.  Over that I stamped images from Pressed Flowers by MFT.  (Love it, but I think it might be retired.  The sentiment panel and layer were cut from a PTI noted die.  All the ink is Paris Dusk by Memento, with some of the stamping being second generation.

Thanks for stopping by,
Christine

I love you (calyptus)

I love puns, and this Lawn Fawn set with its cute koala doesn't disappoint.  It came together quickly with a heart layer and a stamped plaid layer that was created with a recent Tuesday Morning find.

I had fun playing with a new stencil from Stamplorations, adding some dies from PTI and using a retired set from Reverse Confetti.

Celebrate Your Day

I treated myself to Banner Buddies from Hello Bluebird  and really love this set. This time, I am using the small images to create a background paper for the Mod Squad Challenge.  I should remember to use the smaller stamps this way more often.

May God Bless You

Banner Buddies from Hello Bluebird is a little set I treated myself to around Christmas time.  The images are so sweet, and I love the springtime feel that the bouquets create.  I had fun taking this set for a test drive and can see that these stamps will be greatly enjoyed!

Thanks for visiting.  Praying you will have a blessed 2020,
Christine
