Christmas Rose Tag

Bitty Bouquets make the sweetest tags!  When crafting back in July, I stamped all four of the images in red and green and mounted them on scalloped circles, adding a variety of Christmas sentiments.  This tag has a more delicate look with the square Shape Shifter background.  To provide a surface for writing, I added a solid green square behind the open-work square.

Gingerbread Christmas

The adorable gingerbread cookie die from Your Next Stamp takes center stage in the is quick card.  I started with a PTI cover plate die, added a red oval stamped with PTI's Loosely Woven background stamp, and added the snappy gingerbread man on top.

The Joy of Cardmaking-- Intricate Cards

Wow!  This one was fun!  The layers are PTI Large Scallop Stackers, PTI Pretty Brackets Die, Bitty Blooms, and a Verve sentiment.  Almost through with Christmas cards!

The World Needs a Stable Influence

This Stamplorations die is a real treasure.  It makes a quick and meaningful Christmas card, and I have cut it from watercolor paper and softly tinted it for a sweet tag.  This is one of the last few Christmas cards.  I am usually not this late with my cards, but there are lots of challenges in which these last-minute projects fit, so there's a positive side.

Thanks for visiting.  Wishing you joy and peace this Christmas season,
Christine

The Joy of Cardmaking: Sketches

Card making holds so many joys, and one of my favorite aspects is the fun inspiration that come from using sketches.  They are a great jumping off point for those times the ideas just don't flow, and a sketch can help create a balanced design, too.   Today's Ink to Paper Challenge includes a versatile sketch and some very helpful tips!  I had a few blooms from Gran's Garden on my desk and puled out the gorgeous Scroll Frame Die for the border element.  I really like how the card turned out and will use this sketch again!

The Joy of Cardmaking: Christmas Card Set

This is my second group of cards with this concept.  I got so excited about the others that I actually mailed them and never even thought about taking photos.  I stamped lots and lots of flowers and leaves from Gran's Garden, cut white shapes using some of my favorite dies, and added gingham accents.  The first batch had green gingham, and I think I like that a little better. All in all, the look is fresh and winter-y.  I enjoyed adding the blooms to different dies and creating each card a bit different that the others.  They are nice and flat for mailing, too.

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you are enjoying every little part of the Christmas season and realizing that it is all about God's great love for us.
