The Lord Will Fulfill His Promises

I am incredibly thankful to be in a discipleship group with the sweetest of ladies.  They are encouraging, faithful in prayer, and have great insight into the scriptures.  We joke that we excel in fellowship.   What a blessing they are to me!

These bookmarks are to share with them when we meet this week....I can't wait!

The bookmark die is a Papertrey Ink product stamped with a scripture from my beloved Verve collection.  I used PTI's Favor Box Wreath stamp set for the foliage and blooms.  I "stamped off" each image before stamping on the bookmark to keep the colors soft enough for the scripture to be clearly seen.

Thanks for taking a look,

Christine

Poinsettias for Christmas

Shauna shared a most wonderful video on the PTI blog featuring the process she followed to create a gorgeous Christmas card using the newest Into the Blooms set.

I wasn't able to add that set to my collection before it sold out, but I looked carefully at Into the Blooms II.  This beautiful layered blossom was cut from a sheet of Sweet Blush and inked very lightly with Autumn Rose.  The sprigs are from Effortless Beauties and are stamped in the same inks, with Autumn Rose being used in the second generation for a lighter effect.  Since both the colorful parts of the poinsettia and the greenery are all 'leaves', I cut the leaves from the flower die as well. (That sounds strange!!!)   Since all three layers were used for the larger flower,  I cut two more large layers from green, snipped them into sections, and taped them to the back of the pink layers.  A tiny tag finishes the card.

Lots of Layers: Brushed Birds

Kelley shared a gorgeous card on the PTI blog as she challenges crafters to stack up the layers.  Included here are a Blueberry Sky layer dry embossed with Dainty Deliveries, a Tin Stitched panel in white, two strips in Spring Rain Bitty Big papers, and a circle cut with the love to layer set.  Brushed Birds take the focal position in Spring Rain and Blueberry Sky. The leafy clusters are stamped with the Effortless Beauties set.  I always love how cards turn out when using the coordinating papers and inks....wish list.....

Thanks for visiting and enjoy this beautiful October day,

Christine

Warm Wishes Tags

The Warm and Cozy die set by Sunny Studios is just the cutest!  This is my second batch of tags using the  sweet die cuts and the bright holiday prints which are also by Sunny Studios.  I used a different Reverse Confetti tag set for the bases and decided to use black and white to match the yarn used for the ties.  I like the bright and crisp look!  I am looking forward to dividing them into gift sets and to having a few for our gift wrap.

Thanks so much for visiting,

Warm and Cozy Tags

I couldn't resist the adorable Sunny Studios Warm and Cozy die set, and took a minute to add one of their bright Christmas paper packs to the cart, as well.  I just finished up a slew of tags featuring cozy mittens, stocking caps, and comforting mugs.  It's always fun to pull out my Reverse Confetti Tag dies and go to town.  Looking forward to having a large variety of tags to package into gift sets.

Friendly Pumpkin

Please regard irregularities in this card as an indication of its handmade uniqueness.  (Insert grin)

Honestly......I put a piece of grid paper in my MISTI and tested the individual facial features in the Pumpkin Face Off set by Paper Smooches.  When I got to the last feature---the right set of eyelashes, I didn't get the orange paper quite nestled into the corner of the MISTI, and I think there is a bit of a menacing squint.  I'll just smile at my mistake and keep on stamping.  :)

Sunflowers with MFT Stitched Flowers

A few years ago, I splurged on this wonderful die set by MFT called Stitched Flowers.  There are lots of shapes and three distinct sizes for unlimited layering.  Each bloom is accented by stitched details.  They are pretty cut from colored card stock, patterned paper, or white stock for ink blending.  My "faux sunflowers are created from two daisy-like layers topped with a medium and a small center.

Happy Fall with Echo Park

It's the little things that often bring big smiles:  I am enjoying cutting into a new Echo Park paper pad.  I love the sound of October baseball wafting in from the next room where my husband is coaching players (who cannot hear him) as he gives directives from his arm chair.  As all with all days, there is always something for which to be thankful!

Praying you are enjoying the lovely fall weather and are staying well,

Too cute to spook!

I am making a few Halloween cards to share with littles, and it's important to me that they not be scary.  I love the cute bats on the patterned paper, and the ones stamped from a Photoplay set were easy to color and fussy cut for a friendly little card.

Hello Fall

I love this fall paper collection from Echo Park!  It is so much fun to flip through a new stack and have whole sheets of beautiful papers to combine to my heart's content.  I cut a pumpkin from the pretty sunflower print .....  wish I could paint a real one to look like that, but the paper on is plenty of fun!

We are having a few days of fall weather in our warm part of Texas.  I am sure the temperature will increase soon, but maybe we can welcome fall back soon!

Praying everyone is well and happily crafting,

Christine

Merry Christmas with Gran's Garden

Shauna has another great video on the PTI blog and challenges crafters to use PTI products to create Christmas cards.  In my book, there's not much prettier than Gran's Garden.  A few years back, I stamped the flowers in bright Christmas reds and the leaves in shades of evergreen.  I loved using different layers, layouts, and papers to feature those blooms.  Wanting to change things up, I stamped the flowers in Autumn Rose and Scarlet Jewel and found some scraps of soft green snowflake and striped papers than created a nice combination.

Hope you are enjoying a fall day that is as gorgeous as the one we have here in Texas,

Christine

Christmas Joy

Melissa Phillips shares a beautiful card on the PTI blog and challenges us to create a Christmas card.  My Christmas supplies are rather limited, so I combined things on hand:  Feathered Friends 6 in winter-y colors, the wreath from the Wreath Favor Box stamps, and some sprigs from Effortless Beauties.  I wanted to do some ink blending on the bird, but looking at the whole design, I probably should have left him "less antique looking" since there is so much white on the card.  Many Christmas cards to go, so I will adjust with the next.  :)

Have a joy-filled day,

Christine

Just a Note with Sequin Accents

Catching up on challenges.....The "What do I do with This?" challenge on the PTI blog is a fun one:  to add sequins as and accent.  After layering some fun patterns over the center of the Large Scallop Stacker die, I added a  wreath from the Wreath Favor Box set and a Tiny Tag for the sentiment.  The sequins are silver and have flat backs making them super easy to apply.  They don't add bulk which is important to me since I mail many of my cards.

Hope you are having a blessed day,

Christine

Celebrate your Day with Effortless Beauties

I am playing along with Shauna's video series on the PTI blog where the challenge is to create a birthday card.  Though my card is very different from Shaun's gorgeous winter birthday card, I took cues from her layout by adding lots of layers and tucking in a sentiment circle.  The products used include Dainty Deliveries (dry embossed), Fun Frames, Effortless Beauties, and Love to Layer Scalloped Circles.

Thankful for time to craft on a rainy day,

Christine

Pumpkin Face Off: Hello Pumpkin

The most adorable paper crafting shop has opened near my mom, and she surprised me with Paper Smooches set called Pumpkin Face Off a few weeks ago.  I am not sure how Susan obtained PS stamps with the company no longer in business, but I sure am glad to have this cute set!  After a search through my 6x6 inch pads for orange papers, I cut a variety of squares and rectangles using the smaller dies in the sets and added the cute faces.  The leaf dies from my stash are also by Paper Smooches.  They were perfect toppers for the smiling faces!

Delightful Bunch: Thanks

Life has been busy with lots of good things lately, but I have missed crafting time.  This card will just barely meet the Ink to Paper deadline for Fall cards.    I love the Delightful Bunch die set and it was fun to add a tiny thank you tag to the basket.  The focal image is layered over the Tin Stitched background die which I just can't seem to put away!
